About Eggs Mixed with Water……. It could save your Life

A MESSAGE FROM THE OFFICE OF ATTORNEY GENERAL STATE OF MICHIGAN
:

SITUATION..

While driving on a rural end of the roadway on Thursday morning, I saw an infant car seat on the side of the road with a blanket draped over
it.

For whatever reason, I did not stop, even though I had all kinds of thoughts running through my head. But when I got to my destination, I called the Canton PD and they were going to check it out. But, this is what the Police advised even before they went out there to check….

“There are several things to be aware of … Gangs and thieves are now plotting different ways to get a person (mostly women) to stop their vehicle and get out of the car.

“There is a gang initiation reported by the local Police Department where gangs are placing a car seat by the road…with a fake baby in it….waiting for a woman, of course, to stop and check on the abandoned baby.

“Note that the location of this car seat is usually beside a wooded or grassy (field) area and the person — woman — will be dragged into the woods, beaten and raped, and usually left for dead. If it’s a man, they’re usually beaten and robbed and maybe left for dead, too.

DO NOT STOP FOR ANY REASON!!! DIAL 9-1-1 AND REPORT WHAT YOU SAW, BUT DON ‘T EVEN SLOW DOWN.

Oh yea, about the EGGS:
“IF YOU ARE DRIVING AT NIGHT AND EGGS ARE THROWN AT YOUR WINDSHIELD, DO NOT STOP TO CHECK YOUR CAR, DO NOT OPERATE THE WIPERS AND DO NOT SPRAY ANY WATER BECAUSE EGGS MIXED WITH WATER BECOME MILKY, AND BLOCK YOUR VISION UP TO 92.5%, AND YOU ARE THEN FORCED TO STOP BESIDE THE ROAD AND BECOME A VICTIM OF THESE CRIMINALS.

THIS IS A NEW TECHNIQUE USED BY GANGS, SO PLEASE INFORM YOUR FRIENDS AND RELATIVES.

THESE ARE DESPERATE TIMES AND THESE ARE UNSAVORY INDIVIDUALS WHO WILL TAKE DESPERATE MEASURES TO GET WHAT THEY WANT.”

Please talk to your loved ones about this. This is a new tactic being used. Please be safe.

WARNING # 3:

Some knew about the red light on cars, but not Dialing 112 .

It was about 1:00 p.m. In the afternoon, and Lauren was driving to visit a friend. An UNMARKED police car pulled up behind her and put his lights on. Lauren’s parents have always told her to never pull over for an unmarked car on the side of the road, but rather to wait until they get to a gas station, etc.

Lauren had actually listened to her parents advice, and promptly called, 112 on her cell phone to tell the police dispatcher that she would not pull over right away. She proceeded to tell the dispatcher that there was an unmarked police car with a flashing red light on his rooftop behind her. The dispatcher checked to see if there were police cars where she was and there weren’t, and he told her to keep driving, remain calm and that he had back up already on the way.

Ten minutes later 4 cop cars surrounded her and the unmarked car behind her. One policeman went to her side and the others surrounded the car behind. They pulled the guy from the car and tackled him to the ground. The man was a convicted rapist and wanted for other crimes.

I never knew about the 112 Cell P hone feature. I tried it on my AT&T phone &am p; it said, “Dialing Emergency Number.” Especially for a woman alone in a car, you should not pull over for an unmarked car. Apparently police have to respect your right to keep going on to a safe place.

*Speaking to a service representative at Bell Mobility confirmed that 112 was a direct link to State trooper info. So, now it’s your turn to let your friends know about ” Dialing 112 ” This applies to ALL 50 states .

You may want to send this to every Man, Woman & Youngster you know; it may well save a life.

Medical Identity Theft on the Rise with the Introduction of Obamacare

Medical identity theft is not a new way that criminals get your information.  This technique has been around for some time.  Now however, with the introduction of Obamacare, identity thieves are finding it easier to steal more peoples’ identities than ever before.

Information

There is a lot of confusion that came with the introduction of Obamacare and identity thieves are using that to their advantage.  The government currently being shut down is making the website to purchase insurance even more difficult to use as when most people try to get on it, they find that it is down.  This gives the identity thieves the opening that makes it all too easy for them to steal someone’s identity.

One way that they are doing this is by making phone calls.  They will call someone up and pretend to be there to help them get signed up for insurance so that they will not be fined under the Obamacare law.  The poor unsuspecting person is convinced they are there to help them and then give them their information over the phone.  What everyone needs to know though is that they will not call you.  If you need help from someone you will have to make the phone call, they will not call you.  So if you get a call from someone saying they are with the government or whoever and they are calling to help you sign up for insurance under Obamacare try to get as much information from them as possible without giving them your information and then notify the police.

Another way that these thieves are attempting to commit medical identity fraud under Obamacare is to actually go to houses and try and get information that way.  They do not just go up to a house and ask for your information.  They say they are taking a survey or are helping people sign up through paperwork they will fill out.  No one is going to show up at your door to help you purchase your insurance.  If someone does show up at your door claiming they are there to help there is a very good chance that they are a medical identity thief and you should not give them your information, you should contact the police.

Medical identity theft is a serious problem and with the Obamacare act beginning it is that much easier for thieves to get ahold of your information.  Even if you do not receive a phone call or have someone show up at your door you are still at risk.  When you sign up for your insurance under Obamacare your information is put into a database and an identity thief could hack into it and get your information.

Now more than ever you should be trying to protect your identity.  Check your credit reports and make sure that you look over your medical bills very closely.  The last thing that you want is to become an identity theft statistic.  It is your responsibility to protect your identity, so remember with the Obamacare act started medical identity theft is on the rise so you have to be extra careful now.

Do Not Fall For Scams When Trying To Help Victims of Typhoon Haiyan

Wanting to help out those who have gone through a major natural disaster is a wonderful thing.  It shows that you have compassion and understand that those people who have been affected may have nothing left.  You must be aware, however, that when a natural disaster happens, scam artists use this to scam money out of people trying to help.

So if you want to donate money but do not want it to go to a scam artist, how do you know where it is safe to donate to?  Usually the best way to donate money is to do it through larger, well known organizations, such as the Red Cross.  You already know this organization and you already know that you can trust them.

If you receive a phone call from someone saying they are taking up a collection for the victims of the Typhoon Haiyan but you do not know the person, or recognize the organization they are with, you might want to think twice before giving them money.  Yes it is true that they might be legitimately collecting money to help those in the Philippians, but there is also the chance that they are a scam artist pretending to help them.  Ask lots of questions, if they are not able to answer them, have a difficult time coming up with an answer, or avoid answering the question that should be a red flag to you that they may not be an actual legitimate organization.

The same goes with any emails you may get.  Some scam artists will create emails and send them out saying that the email is from an organization that is raising money to help the victims of Typhoon Haiyan.  Do not just assume that they are a real organization.  Try looking them up online, do some research to make sure that they are who they say they are.

Some of these scam artists are even bold enough to come to your door to tell you they are with an organization that is raising money to help those affected by the typhoon.  Know this is typically something that larger organization such as the Red Cross does not always have time for so be suspicious.  Just like if you were to get a phone call question them.  Ask for their information and tell them you cannot donate at the moment but you can in a few days.  This way you can see if they are a real organization or not.

Typhoon Haiyan was a horrible storm and the effects of it are going to last for quite some time.  For those of us who cannot just go running off to the Philippians to help the recovery efforts, the best we can do is to donate money to the efforts.  When we donate that money however we want to make sure that it goes to where it is supposed to go, we do not want a criminal to get ahold of it.  If you do your research or stick with an organization you know is legitimate and will send that money to the relief efforts, then you can sleep soundly at night knowing no criminal got your money and you did a good thing helping those victims of Typhoon Haiyan.
